Dunn, Pariser & Peyrot is exceptionally proud to congratulate our very own Pat Dunn on being awarded the Entertainment Accountant of the Year Award by the California Society of CPAs and CalCPA Education Foundation. The 2019 Entertainment Industry Conference hosted by the CalCPA was held on June 25th at the Skirball Cultural Center and was attended by leading industry professionals. Pat was joined by his partners, Mark Pariser and Tony Peyrot, as he accepted this prestigious honor imparted on him by CalCPA and the members of its Society for his contributions to the entertainment industry.
Pat became an accountant and business manager as a result of his appreciation for entertainment and professional sports. Throughout his career, Pat has built a successful and extensive practice and attributes this continuous passion for the profession as the lead driver for his commitment and dedication towards his clients, their businesses, and the personal relationships he has built with every one of them.
Pat pays close attention to his clients’ individual goals and their interests, most importantly, he encourages them to pursue entrepreneurial business opportunities within a system of creative management ideas and existing financial controls to ensure their success. By listening to them as their trusted advisor, Pat has shown the ability to pull the essential components together to transform their ideas into self-sustaining businesses as well as continue to monitor and help guide their success.
Throughout the years, Pat has also become deeply committed to various charitable organizations, many of which have shaped his outlook and appreciation for life. At the core of his values is the belief to give back to the community and make a difference in people’s lives. Not only does he serve on the board of many non-profit organizations but also within the firm, he strongly encourages DPP’s charitable and volunteer efforts by providing the time and resources for DPP staff to hand-select and participate in firm-wide charitable opportunities.
Pat says, “You need to have the vision to know where you want to go in your business. I’ve tried to create a work and personal life balance which has allowed me to do what I love and with the people who mean the most to me: my family, my friends, my staff and my clients.” He considers himself lucky to have Mark and Tony by his side, together developing the strong reputation and sense of client service required of this industry. He is in turn honored to have the California Society of CPAs acknowledge and applaud his professional efforts.
Thank you, CalCPA for publicly recognizing Pat Dunn… our boss, partner, and friend!
