Iconic Puerto Rican musician/singer/songwriter/producer Draco Rosa won Best Rock Album for Monte Sagrado at the 20th annual Latin Grammy’s hosted in Las Vegas in November 2019. This represents his 5th Grammy win in his illustrious career.
Draco’s career has spanned decades, from his start as a teen idol in the wildly popular boy band Menudo to leading the alt-funk band Maggie’s Dream to co-writing and producing some of Ricky Martin’s biggest hits and continuing as an uncompromising solo artist. DPP’s Tony Peyrot has worked with Draco for over 20 years and has witnessed his greatest achievement, cancer survivor.
Monte Sagrado was mostly recorded at Draco’s Phantom Vox Studio in the mountains in Utuado, Puerto Rico. It is a tribute to his artistry and celebration of his love for rock en español.
Felicidades, Draco!
